Lumbini Medical College (LMC) is located in the district of Palpa, a hilly district about 3OO kms west of Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal.Situated at an altitude of 1350 meters, Palpa offers beautiful view of the Himalayas and offers recreational activities like hiking, and paragliding.The weather is pleasant throughout the year with an average annual temperature of 20.6 degrees celsius. The average annual rainfall is 4 mm.LMC was established keeping in mind the vision to develop Palpa as an excellent center for education, health and tourism. Setting up a medical college in a hilly district was not an easy task mainly due to geographical constraints, but now Lumbini Medical College is in operation for more than thirteen years.
